Indian Gangster Goldy Brar Added to FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted List; $1 Million Reward for Information Leading to His Arrest

The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has added Satinderjit Singh, alias Goldy Brar, from Punjab, to its notorious Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. The FBI has announced a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to his arrest.

On September 28, 2026, the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office announced the designation. He is the 543rd member of the list.

The FBI’s official poster lists his place of birth as Punjab, India, and his year of birth as 1994. His aliases include Goldy Brar and Satinderjit Singh Brar. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He speaks Punjabi and English. The agency says he has links to California, Canada, India, and Mexico.

The FBI alleges that he is the suspected leader of the North American branch of the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group. The group is accused of involvement in violent activities across Southern California, the United States, and Canada. These include the killing of political and religious figures, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortion, assaults, and drug and weapons trafficking.

In July 2026, a federal court in the Central District of California in Los Angeles issued a warrant for his arrest. He faces three charges:

  • Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) conspiracy

  • Conspiracy to interfere with commerce through extortion

  • Conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances

U.S. prosecutors allege that Bishnoi and Goldy Brar ordered the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar outside the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, on June 18, 2023. Nijjar was shot and killed by two gunmen as he was leaving the parking lot.

Lawrence Bishnoi himself is from Fazilka district in Punjab. He is currently imprisoned in India. The FBI says that he operates his network from prison and that Goldy Brar served as his principal lieutenant in North America.

The investigation is known as Operation Hardball. In July, the United States indicted 37 individuals linked to three India-based international criminal organizations. Five of them remain fugitives. Goldy Brar is one of them.

Patrick Grandy, the Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office, said that Satinderjit Singh is a dangerous individual. He said that Singh was placed on the Ten Most Wanted list to help capture him and that a substantial reward had been announced.

The agency has warned that he should be considered armed, dangerous, and a flight risk. Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit information at tips.fbi.gov.

Indian media have also widely reported the development. Goldy Brar has long been on the wanted lists of the Punjab Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA). His name has surfaced in several cases, including the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. His addition to the United States’ highest-profile fugitive list has now drawn international attention to the case.
